Terms of Service

1. The service

CVrefresh is an AI-powered tool that helps you rewrite and refine your CV for specific job opportunities. You upload a CV, optionally provide a job posting URL, and receive an AI-generated refresh. You can then edit the result using plain-English instructions.

2. Your account

You sign in via a magic link sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure. One account per person.

3. Credits and payments

CVrefresh offers two ways to pay:

Pay-as-you-go credits

  • Credits are purchased in advance and deducted per use.
  • You can top up in fixed amounts ($1, $3, $5, $10) or enter any amount of your choosing, with a minimum of $0.50.
  • Uploading and refreshing a CV costs $0.50 per session.
  • Each plain-English edit costs $0.10.
  • Credits are non-refundable once used. Unused credits may be refunded at our discretion if requested within 14 days of purchase.

Unlimited plan — $5/month

  • The Unlimited plan gives you unrestricted access to all CV refreshes and edits for a flat monthly fee.
  • Billing is monthly and recurring. You can cancel at any time via the customer portal — cancellation takes effect immediately.
  • On cancellation, your Unlimited access ends immediately. Any remaining pay-as-you-go credit balance (if applicable) is restored.
  • Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

Prices may change. We will give reasonable notice before any price changes take effect. All payments are processed securely by Stripe.

4. Your content

You own your CV and any content you upload. By using CVrefresh, you grant us a limited licence to process your content through the AI service solely to provide you with the refreshed output. We do not use your CV to train AI models or share it with third parties beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. AI-generated output

The refreshed CV is generated by an AI model. While we aim for high quality output, you are responsible for reviewing the result before using it in any job application. CVrefresh does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular role. Never submit content you haven't read and verified.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use CVrefresh to:

  • Fabricate qualifications, experience, or credentials
  • Upload content that violates third-party rights or is illegal
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service

7. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for losses resulting from downtime or service interruptions.

8. Limitation of liability

CVrefresh is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email if we make material changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
